Britta Lutz

Vize-Präsidentin Drive for Miles® seit 2014

Vor 10 Jahren trat ich Drive for Miles® als Vizepräsidentin bei, in 2015 organisierte ich den ersten « The Good Ride” in Stuttgart mit Walter Röhrl an Bord, wir flitzten sehr elegant und « gehorsam » über die Solitude.

Alles lief perfekt!

Was ich damit meine?

Britta Lutz

Vice-President Drive for Miles® since 2014

10 years ago I joined Drive for Miles® as Vice President, in 2015 I organized the first “The Good Ride” in Stuttgart with Walter Röhrl on board, we whizzed very elegantly and “obediently” across the Solitude.

Everything went perfectly! Many of the drivers who were there 10 years ago are still riding with us today and are asking for more. Me too. In the meantime, I’m taking my two boys with me, they have oil in their blood just like me.

Because that’s what it’s all about: sharing the joy of riding between both small and “big boys”. Not only do we lead a top organization, we also drive the participants healthy. What do I mean by that?

Präsident Drive for Miles® Luxemburg seit 2018

Guy Flener

President Drive for Miles® Luxembourg since 2018

The friendship between drivers and like-minded people is very close to my heart. I have been a member of the Porsche family for a long time, a brand that I hold very highly and whose vehicles I value above all brands.

Through Drive for Miles®, my circle of friends was enlarged enormously, big and small children from all over Europe took a seat in my car, we drove to great locations, we talked about Porsches, dream cars and let the wind sweep around our noses. In the meantime, more brands are on board, we move on four and two wheels, sometimes one-day trips, sometimes longer distances, very exciting and changeable. I’m always amazed…

Präsidentin - Drive for Miles® seit 2011

President - Drive for Miles® since 2011

You probably know the feeling that happens every driving season when you wake up your truck from hibernation, insert the ignition key and start. It’s bubbling, he’s driving, actually, ha!

In 1997 our club was born, it was all about driving, driving, driving great cars. The driving fun was quickly shared, people met, often and gladly. Through these meetings we exchanged great trip experiences and good mechanic tips, our driving expertise also improved enormously, we were often at Spa. We became a group with the same affinity: driving, nice humming. Some brought their children with them, once there was also a little boy with an eye patch, who was more passionate than all of us combined.

The boy had a lot of catching up to do, recently underwent surgery for a brain tumor and was in hospital for a long time. The little one came along more and more often. « No, he didn’t have a driver’s license yet, but he could probably hit the gas pedal with his stick! » He knew my Porsche 964 inside out, he had driven Guy’s GT2RS 2 times (mental cinema).

The little one brought with him his big brother (a child in the shadows) and his best friend, a few years older, diagnosed with bone cancer, as if cured, not yet so good on his feet, but “oil instead of blood” in his veins, they had met in the hospital, united by the same passion. No one can measure the stimulation for such young and old children to pursue their favorite hobby. The fact was that we, Amseeligen, who fetch the kids in the Porsche or with the Harley, came and let it hum, we had done the two of them so good, they thought of nothing else: Driving was in, cancer (which cancer?) was out!

That was the crucial moment for me and my friends to decide: let’s drive miles, with the kids on board. And if the journeys take longer (e.g. Luxembourg-Athens = 10 days round trip), then we use our miles to collect donations and later invite them, together with friends and family for a whole day, which became THE GOOD RIDE© Now you know what it’s like, now you can also participate: those who want to donate, click on this link. Those who want to join us, click on the event link. You can do both! :)
